Dear Prospective Adoptive Parents,
We are pleased to provide you with
information about our agency. Adoption Access, Inc. is a
private, state-licensed agency. Our placement time is
approximately 1 month to 36 months, depending on
your parameters. Requests for a specific
gender will extend your wait time. The
non-refundable application fee is $2,650.00 for Texas residents and $1,650.00
for out-of-state residents, and is due when the
completed application is returned to us. In addition, the
adoption fee is payable at the time a match is accepted. The
adoption fee is subject to change at any time.
We want our adoptive parents to understand that we are a semi-open
to open adoption agency. We will not consider working with
families who prefer closed adoptions. The agency’s
policy is pictures and letter for 18 years. This is found in our
Adoption Expectations.
Birth mothers are not matched before their sixth month of
pregnancy and are provided extensive counseling prior to match,
resulting in less than 10% of our birth mothers changing their
minds. If a birth mother decides not to place, Adoption
Access, Inc. assumes responsibility for all expenses incurred and
the adoptive parents are not charged additional fees for the lost
or subsequent match.
To be in accordance with Texas licensing standards, we must
provide you with information regarding filing grievances. If
you are not satisfied with any decision pertaining to your
involvement with our agency, you may notify me in writing within 30
days. If we cannot resolve your matter, you may contact our
liaison, Jenna Howard (817) 741-4893 to discuss your
concerns. Either of the representatives will diligently work
to resolve your problem. If this is not effective, the name
of our licensing representative will be provided upon request.
Once you have completed your application, please contact our office
to set an appointment to attend our next
orientation.
This interview can be applied to your homestudy requirements.
